Autumn Counseling is delighted to welcome our newest staff member, Chloe Bertrand!
Chloe will be bringing her passion, creativity and talents to Autumn Counseling clients, working remotely with all sessions conducted via Telehealth, Monday through Friday, and serving clients residing anywhere in the state of Texas.
Here’s a bit more about Chloe:
I enjoy working with a variety of populations and issues but specialize in working with adults with trauma histories, nervous system dysregulation, past sexual abuse, substance use recovery, and with individuals going through transitional life stages or changes, particularly with women and female-identifying individuals. I also enjoy working with couples and individuals in a variety of relationship contexts.
I utilize several evidence-based modalities, including emotionally focused therapy (EFT), parts work (IFS), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and somatic-based therapies, with a trauma-informed approach. The mind- body connection is a passion of mine, and I love incorporating it into sessions through breathwork, mindfulness practices, and helping clients identify where emotions are held in the body.
Together, we learn to notice, follow, and make sense of the sensations and stories our bodies carry.
Compassion, purpose, and intention are the driving forces of my practice, and I am glad you’ve found your way here. I know seeking therapy can be incredibly vulnerable, and it’s also incredibly brave, so I am grateful for your courage.
A fellow social worker, Brené Brown, writes “Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.”
My desire is to support you in your journey of healing and better understanding yourself, creating an environment where vulnerability is always honored and safe.
I am a licensed social worker and have been working as a therapist in private practice since 2024. I studied child development and family systems at Louisiana State University and later received my master’s in social work at North Carolina State University. I have years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from as young as 4 years old and into late adulthood.
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy being outside in my garden, practicing yoga, camping, writing, and spending time laughing and dancing with my loved ones, cooking beautiful meals, and traveling the world.
My belief is that every individual has the right to live an enriched and purposeful life that is aligned with their values and feels authentic to them. It is my goal as a therapist to walk alongside you as you navigate these challenges and be there to help you better understand what you want out of life and how to get there in the best way for you. You deserve a life you love, no matter what you’ve been through—a life aligned with your values, rooted in peace, and filled with deep presence.
If you feel like we would be a good fit, please reach out to chloe@autumncounseling.com and schedule a free consultation.
I look forward to meeting you!
