Clinical supervision…

I am certified with the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners as a clinical supervisor for post-graduate social workers (LMSWs) working towards their clinical social work license (LCSW). I do both individual and group supervision and help new clinicians find their way through the challenges of clinical development. I have been supervising clinical interns in their graduate school studies in social work and counseling since 2011, and have supervised LMSWs seeking their terminal LCSW licensure. Group supervision includes didactic training, case consultation, role plays of challenging client dynamics and application of theory. I work collaboratively with new clinicians, share my knowledge and expertise and empower them to grow and cultivate their own unique professional identities. I am highly committed to cultivating excellent therapists, so I have high standards guided by the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics. I seek to support interns and post-graduate trainees in becoming the best therapists they can be. Our community deserves nothing less.

A review from a former intern:

Brittany is an incredibly skilled supervisor, full of compassion and understanding, but also knowledgeable and equipped to confidently guide you on your learning journey. Her rich experience allows her to know when to challenge you and when to simply sit with you in your difficult moments as an intern. I had the honor of being her supervisee for a couple years and until this day, some several years later, I still lean on the lessons that she taught me. I am very grateful that I was shaped as a clinician through my supervision with Brittany.
