I returned to my Social Work roots after several decades raising a family and working in multiple public service and volunteer roles. I come to clinical social work with a wealth of policy and personal experience in the LGBTQ+, public health, outdoor, arts and education spaces.
I was raised in a large, relatively privileged family and community, masking some significant generational trauma. As my husband and I started our family, I realized I wanted to know more about my own family of origin’s history and found I had some serious work of my own to do. My own journey led me to the realization that I have a passion for supporting others as they navigate life which is inevitably complex and even more so in these uniquely challenging times.
I’ve seen firsthand how psychotherapy can be a balm when struggling with family dynamics, serious mental health issues, or simply looking to live a richer and more meaningful life. I love people and all of our knotty and wonderful components. From a person-centered, emotionally-focused orientation, my practice will be a safe space for you to bring your whole self, unpack your challenges, hopes and dreams together. With the ultimate goal of radical acceptance without judgement and joy with yourself and in your relationships.
I work with older teens, adults and couples navigating life’s complexities. I have direct personal experience with teens and young adults as they are confronted with questions of gender and sexuality or living with mental illness.
When I’m not working, you can find me cooking for friends and family, walking or hiking, listening to live music - from jazz to folk to opera, practicing yoga, advocating for trans youth and other young people from historically underserved communities, or curled up with my dog reading a good book or an article.

Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there. -Rumi
